Fresh charges: Metuh gets N600m bail


THE embattled National Publicity Sec­retary of the Peoples Democratic Party, [PDP], Chief Olisa Metuh, has found him­self in deeper trouble as the Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Ter­ritory [FCT], Justice Ishaq Bello, granted him bail to the tune of N300million with two sureties in like sum. Justice Bello in his ruling on Metuh’s bail application which was argued by his counsel, Dr. Onyeachi Ikpeazu [SAN] said the residence of the sureties must be veri­fied by the court.

14-year-old Nollywood actor dies

Nollywood youngster Olamide David has died,throwing Nollywood into another mournful mood. The young Nollywood actor who played the lead role in Foluke Daramola-Salako’s movie, Cobweb was said to have died few hours ago in Lagos.

Anambra stands still as Ngige buries father

ANAMBRA State Friday stood still for late Pa Pius Okonkwo Ngige, father of the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, as the crème de la crème of Nigerian politics stormed Alor in Idemili South Local Government Area to pay last respects to him. He died at 105. The burial, which brought all the political affiliations together both in the state and at national level saw the St. Mary Catholic Church Alor venue of the funeral over stretched beyond its capacity, with many digni­taries standing outside as security operatives had a herculean task controlling the crowd.

Why I’m hospitalised -PSquare”s Peter Okoye

Peter Okoye of the PSquare fame has hinted that his ailment might be as a result of stress. The hospitalized musician disclosed via twitter that he underwent a computer tomography scan (CT Scan) to confirm this. While urging fans to pray for his quick recovery, Okoye said he went for the scan to make sure he’s 100% fit and okay. ” It has not been easy from the past few weeks.
